Building work on the £65 million new Walsall College is now complete and this educational ‘centre of excellence’ opened in September 2009.

The impressive new Walsall College cuts an imposing profile on the improved Ring Road, and is playing a key role in helping to transform Walsall’s economy, driven by the skills and enterprise agenda.

The new college will be located at the centre of the emerging Walsall Gigaport proposals right at the heart of Walsall’s increasing contribution to the regional economy.

The college has focused on building strategic partnerships with major blue chip players, including the launch of the Roland Music Academy, which demonstrates the synergy being developed between Further Education and major international companies.

The innovative development of an Enterprise Academy well in advance of the new college facilities coming online‚ is an excellent opportunity to raise aspirations with all sections of Walsall’s diverse communities.
