Waterfront Lex

The final piece in the jigsaw‚ in the comprehensive canalside regeneration at Waterfront, the Lex site is the latest of the three waterfront schemes to be brought to market.

This 2.1 acre site lies at the western end of the northern section of Waterfront and on completion will act as a gateway to Walsall town centre when arriving from Junction 10 of the M6 less than one mile to the west.

An international competition promoted by developer Urban Splash attracted a world class field with 132 architects putting forward their ideas. The most outstanding were reduced to a shortlist and the winner, MOH Architects was announced in 2008.

Opportunities exist at Lex for a different kind of mixed-used development, incorporating a defining piece of architecture for Walsall. This landmark building could be potentially high rise and visible from the motorway.
